I recently obtained a Head Prestige MP 2023 18x19 Auxetic 2.0 and thought it might be interesting to compare it against my customized Head TGT 345.2 (360+). The TGT 345.2 strung weight is at 321g with restring sync and the swingweight is at 325. The Head Prestige MP strung weight is 325g so fairly similar.
Overall impressions:
TGT 345.2
Softer more plush feel - better for generating spin due to the open 16x19 pattern. Softer layup and thinner beam. Good for keeping the ball deep with topspin and the launch angle is clearly higher, which means more net clearance / safety.
Head Prestige MP 2023 18x19 (Auxetic 2.0) - more of a crisper and direct feel, good directional control, good pocketing, better for touch shots and volleys. Felt like I could plow through the forehands more for winners - seems to have more put away power maybe due to the thicker beam.
Anyone else has tried these two rackets? Would love to hear comments. I’ll update the thread as I hit more.
