Head Prestige racket grommet

Does anyone know why the grommet on the Head Prestige line of rackets cover all around the head?

To protect the whole head of the racket. It has been like this for the Prestige Line since 1986.

you can also use its grommet to "CAP" other rackets such as Radicals..this increases swingweight and makes a racekt a little stiffer

The grommet is called CAP btw

I understand it creates better protection for the racket, but i was wondering why only the prestige line of rackets have the CAP grommet all around? why not the radical or something?
