Head Pro Stock or modded retail?

Hi everyone

came across 4 matched frames here on TW original owner didn't want to take the pallets off I did, and I wanted to know if these are pro stock or modded retails.

Youtek Radical MP
under pallet code says TGK 260.1TT below that sticker says H101023 \02

racquets have pro stock butt caps, silicone in both channels weighted and balanced to match 335g Unstrung 30.9 cm balance and according to the seller all have matched swingweights

thanks in advance I am not sure what the codes mean on the racquets and I couldn't find what the TT meant so that is why I am asking

the original listing for the racquets was here

thoughts? opinions?

I believe most newer Head retail racquets have TGK codes just like pro stock racquets do. So it's hard to tell if your racquets are pro stock or retail frames. The other possible way to check is weight. Most TGK pro stock frames are lighter than retail frames by 10-30g to allow extreme customization.

My retail YT Prestige Mid and Speed Pro have TGK codes on the hairpins.

I'm going to say it's a customized retail racquet. The butt-cap does not look "Pro Stock". That looks like a MicroGel insert for the butt-cap put on that racquet. The "Pro Stock" butt-cap is grey with a black sticker insert with a Silver HEAD Ski tip logo.

The way silicone is injected into pro stock racquets is quite different from how users inject it. In Pro Stocks, it looks like silicone is injected at a very high pressure. The net results is that it fills out evenly every tiny nook and cranny in the frame the buttcap. Then you remove the buttcapp, it is not flush with the frame. It jets out, revealing a reverse buttcap image.

The other possibility that I can think of which would create this type perfection, is if the silicone had been injected hot.

Another telltale sign is a secondary label. It is a long and narrow piece of paper which lists numerous measurements, including the weight and balance of the bare hairpin. There were other numbers there, I do not know what they mean.

ok so i looked again and the buttcaps are microgel buttcaps tk186, and the hairpins look just like the second picture suppawat posted the tgk numbers then the second line below that some random info, no other secondary labels were there. I would check the weights but all 4 have silicone in the handle. someone suggested to me that I get them onto an rdc machine to check the flex and that would tell me definitively if it is a prostock or a modded retail

No, it would not.

Part of the reason why Head "pro stock" racquets come 10-15g lighter in bare form is the lack of steel weight in the handle. Put a magnet 5-7 inches up the handle and you'll be able to tell. You can see from Sup's photo where the weight is located - under the white epoxy along the seam of the hairpin. You can also look into the handle for presence of a bulge where the molded weight is.

It is the modified retail.
The pro stock would have the sticker under the pallets showing the exact weight and BP of the hairpin used to customize.
Surely, it is possible to take that one off, however, my opinion is that this is the modified retail since Radical MP has plenty of room to bring it to 335g...
