I have been playing it with gut in the mains at 50 lbs, poly cross at 47. If I was playing full poly, I’d start at 45, and then adjust from there based on how it felt. I haven’t had problems with the sweet spot— like any dense 18/20, it’s wide enough if you don’t string too tight, and stringing low hasn’t meant creating a rocket launcher. It’s still a very control oriented racquet with a low launch angle.

I switched back to mine recently after playing side by side with a Auxetic Prestige Pro and 6.1. I loved the heft of the 6.1 but it's overall weight made it a hard racquet to swing consistently well given I don't play as frequently as I would like. I was absolutely crushing the ball with the Prestige Pro and loved that soft feel but I found it too light for my taste and couldn't be bothered modding it up. I've got a whole bunch of PT630s and got 2 2.0s but when I got them ages ago I never really liked the feel because I was using the 630 exclusively and I just prefer the balls coming off the frame.

Since going back to the 2.0 however I feel like I've got the best of both worlds. Some of the posts before yours comment on the frame's firmness and I attest to this. Definitely plays more "modern" and it's more unforgiving on balls hit off centre. You really get that feedback. But if you middle it, it's crushed and you get that plush feedback. Weird. Hopefully I can stick to this one now. I'm the absolute WORST with tennis racquets. I always want to change haha

Eventually in future racquet technology will get so good that'll you'll have a racquet you don't wanna switch from :)

Very cool, I'm struggling to getting back to restringing mine cause I have a bunch of other modern racquets I'm figuring out first like PA '23, PA 98, PS 97 v14 etc. I do know from limited PT2.0 experience in the past that its stiff and lacks power outside the sweet zone of the racquet but in the sweet zone it pockets the ball just right and suddenly provides so much power, never felt anything like it

I never tried DR98 but with it being so highly praised im confused why most people are not using one

I've used all those rackets you mentioned. The PA23 and PA98 are the best recent Babolat rackets IMO. I don't care for the modern Pro Staff line. They seem to be middle of the pack... They're fine rackets. But don't stand out in any way.

The PT2.0 is definitely a low powered frame but I wouldn't call it stiff by any means. Gotta commit to it for a full week or two before passing judgement. Whereas players will get an immediate "wow" factor out of frames like the Babolat...I think the PT2.0 just gets better over time

The v14 is wicked crazy fast 1st serves with 50 lb desert bronze 4G its unreal. Very well rounded and nice flex/bending v13 didn't have. I'm not even a fast server but v14 with 4G gives ability to hit such fast balls it shocks myself. 4G has a lot of energy return.

PT2.0 is not stiff in general but is on off center shots, or at least causes weak balls when struck off center. But when you find the hitting the sweetspot groove its the opposite and most rewarding racquet I've ever seen :D
 
I’ve just played with a PT 2.0 and have to say I am quite impressed. Comparing it side by side with my main racquet (blade v8 98 18x20) I draw the following conclusions:
- the headsize is actually very similar, the blade has a more rounded upper hoop whereas the PT is more oval but other than that it’s very close, I find it hard to believe there’s a 3in^2 difference between the two racquets;
- the string pattern is almost identical in the sweetspot but narrower everywhere else in the PT;
- both are clearly control racquets but the blade (mine is customised, just a little over spec) is noticeably softer and more underpowered. Having said that, I thought the PT would feel stiffer. It actually feels quite nice.
- spin is similar with both racquets but the PT feels a bit more whippier through the air.

I am very impressed, I have never played with the original PT630 but this one is a solid offering.

I still play from time to time with my trusty i.Prestige racquets, I have 5 of them, and one is brand new with plastic on handle.


I would have loved to buy a pair of ProTour 2.0, but I tested, and the feeling of the new one had nothing to do with the original that I owned in the past…the new one feels stiffer, and with a lot less power.
It’s true that the strings were a bit tight, strung with Alu Power Rough and Max Power, both 23/22kg.

How do you compare the PT 2.0 with the i.Prestige (power, feel, flex, sweetspot and pocketing)?

I don’t think it’s easy to find PT 2.0 anymore, but just in case…should I try getting a pair, or they will gather dust just like my Bumblebees MP?

Are you calling us old? :). 52 is new 28!

I like the TGK57.5 layup. Yes, it is firmer than the original PT57A2 but the balance and weight distribution is similar. And I agree, it is slightly lower power than the PT630. But a great feedback frame. A true modern (2.0) version of the original.

In terms of it vs iPrestige - the layups are different but from the firmness and feedback side, they are similar. I believe it feels closer to the PT57E2 than the PT57A2.

It also needs some gut in there. I like it with a hybrid setup at not too high tension

I would like a PT57A. I am still waiting to test the pro tour 2.0 out myself. I only have one. And also waiting to test the prestige auxetic pro v.1 out. Been using the 360+ mp for the last year or so now. Still wanting more putaway power but love the feel and control

I would also like to have a pair of modern sticks, like APD or Pure Aero 98 (Alcaraz), if PT 2.0 is very similar to i.Prestige.

On the other hand, there is only one racquet that was called by Murray, “the blue one”, the racquet that Guga used to win RG, Muster too, and basically all pro players endorsed by Head, ever since.
 
Sorry, I thought TK57.5 will be more usable than TK57A, but in reality it’s just a low powered version of my TK57E.

In the same conditions, outside clay court, and quite chilly, the Bumblebees offered more power, more plow trough and definitely more feel than the PT2.0

All 3 (PT2.0, i.Prestige, and Radical MP Bumblebee) had 21/20kg string tension.

The PT2.0 was very very stiff, no butter feel, and lowest power among the 3.

I played with PT630 and I know that feel of butter, smooth, like the racquet it’s bending, and the ball pocketing it’s great…but all that lacked in the PT2.0

I will still sell my 2 PT57A Bumblebees (TK57A mold), because I simply can’t find a better racquet than i.Prestige.

I simply can’t…the only racquets that I liked while owning the i.Prestiges, were Yonex 95D for spin and power, but not near the same control as the i.Preatige, and strangely, also liked the Babolat Pure Aero VS (older version of the Pure Aero 98 that Alcaraz and Rune are using), but even with lead tape, that racquet has lower swing weight and less feel.

But if I sell the 2 Bumblebees (150€+shipping), I will get a pair of PA98 just to have a pair of modern sticks.

I would’ve traded my Bumblebees maybe with @Soundbyte maybe, for 2 i.Prestiges XL, but I know he only had one.

But otherwise, I’m pretty convinced I should sell the Bumblebees, that now are only collectibles in my bag, for 2 x PA98 or 2 x 95D

I've got a couple that have never been used. I'm really not sure how anyone thought this iteration of the fabled Pro Tour 630 is anything like the original. The PC2.0 is way more faithful to the original despite still not being different again. I hit with my 630 last night for the first time in a while and it's still just the best feeling racquet ever.

Bumblebee is actually a lot better, has more power, but still small sweetspot comparing to the modern racquets

I have 2 in mint condition, that I never hit with, because they are difficult to play with.

I was considering selling them for Yonex E Zone 98, but I could regret that in the future, as Bumblebee have that collectible value, and will be difficult to buy one

Ey peeps I actually have 2 brand new twin tube Zebra PJs Radical Tours/PT57As (or derivatives) and one of them has this weird pantina/aged effect on the paint. The paint has possibly oxidised (not sure) but it's definitely browned/yellowed slightly. Any ideas? I figure there's no way to fix it. I don't have any photos handy but I'll have a look and post up.

There’s no paint on original TwinTube rackets. What’s yellowed is the clear coat over the polyamide that has the graphics printed on it. And they are not PT57A
 
I took this out from the closet, strung it with the same setup I love for my Prestige Classic 2.0 (Cyclone 19 gauge), and packed it with me for a hitting session today with a 4.5-5.0 player. I was completely blown away. It has the same DNA and feel as the PC 2.0, but has more pop off the string bed. Now I wonder why I don't play with this stick more often. My opponent hits hard and flat. I had no trouble keeping my grip loose and redirecting the pace.
 
I was thinking about this stick as something that is more of a modern prestige. Whilst the paint is a retro version (is the mold the classic one too?) I know it has the shorter pallets so I assume it is? But it has the stiffer feel which generally is not what the prestige is about? I still haven't tried one of these yet. I have one but it has factory strings on it still. Would need to restring it ideally but may have a quick go to see how it feels as I know it's pretty big swing weight wise stock.
