I just bought this racquet from one of my instructors...it's second hand, but i liked the weight and the power i got from the stick...

have any of you guys played with Head Radical Tour...it's MP and has got a rather weird paintjob - black/gray and yellow...i was just wondering what you thought about this racquet...if i can, i'll post a picture later...

according to my coach, this was agassi's old stick...

3 words for you...

Listen up... three words... get a pen... here they are... AWESOME LEGENDARY FRAMES!

For your further education, check out 'Long Live The Radicals' thread in 'Racquets' section. Plus also, use the search function and just go through the masses of posts on 'Head Radical Tour', or 'Trysis 260', or 'Head Bumblebee' or 'Head Radical Twin Tube', or 'Head Radical Zebra' - this way you'll get the history and lineage of the brilliant early Rad Tours... BTW, yours sounds like the 'zebra'.

I bought one a few months back, and sold it the same day I got the frame. It was strung with natural gut at max tension (pretty comfortable and lively) but I just couldn't play right with an already customized Radical. Guess I prefer the plain Radical with my own lead setup, who knows.

It's an awesome stick. I have been hitting with it since 94'. From there and on, I have been trying other MP sticks, but none of them even getting close.

Below are the pic of my prmiary arsenal, hehe!

i played with this racquet today, and i got soo much power from it...i had a hard time controlling my shots, but i guess changing the tension will do...i love the way i can cut through the air with this frame...really does rock...however...i did lose 6-1, 7-5...it was only in the second set that i got used to the stick...unfortunately, towards the end, my serves started going way long...damn...

I happen to have that stick, and I feel it is a little too heavy that slows my swing speed a little.

i actually like the weight...somehow, having a heavier racquet seems to give me this feeling that i'm actually going to be able to hit the ball well...i guess that's weird, but whatever...hahaha

I play with the zebra radical tour since a few months back, like it alot, feels like its got it all, loads of control, feel, and some power to. I see that you have quite the arsenal there, so i was wondering if you could tell me what the differense is between the pro tour and the zebra, i have only played the zebra but im qurious to know since there is so much talk about the pro tour. Seems there specs are very simlar, same mold, same flex....

Rookie, curious to see how you feel about that ti.pro tour? some here have bashed it as the worst racquet they have ever used. i wonder how you feel? how does it play compared to the ti.classic? i've been trying to pick one up but always get outbid when one comes up on the bay.

You have gotten your hands on one of the best single pcs of tennis gear ever made....the 1997 or 1998 Head Radical Tour MP.

Sounds like yours is a 1997. The 1998's are more yellow than grey.

Regardless, they both play awesome.

Enjoy!

Actually the first PJ of the Radical Tour TwinTube 630 that was the grey, white, and yellow (AKA the Zebra) came out in the summer of 1995 after Wimbledon. So the OP has a 1995 Radical Tour TwinTube 630.
