Head Revolt Pro 4.5

Very wavy like the Fusion Rev. Very popular style now, first popularized by the 95 and 97 Air Maxes. WAVY

But how does it differ from the 4.0 in terms of FIT? Specifically the toebox width. It went from 14.0 ounces (for U.S. 10.5 Men's) to 14.7 ounces.

I like Lotto shoes and just ordered another pair.

But those Head shoes in the picture look great.

When I started playing tennis a year and half ago I thought the Head shoes were really ugly.

They seem to upping their game.

If I weren't already being hooked on Lotto shoes I would probably buy those shoes in the first post.

Waiting to receive a pair of these as a warranty claim replacement for the 4.0. I tried the Revolt 4.0s since they had been available so cheaply the last few months leading up the the release of the new model and actually really liked them. Feels very stable and a good fit on the width for me; not too wide, not too narrow. Only downside is that the outsole durability doesn't seem to be the best but at least they have the warranty which they seem to honor pretty faithfully.

Has anyone given these a go yet? I have a pair coming in but haven’t tried any of the previous Revolts. I’ve been using the Vapor Pro 1s for a few years now but am looking for a bit more durability and support. The Barricade and Gel Resolutions historically haven’t worked that great for me so these seem like a decent alternative.

I just snagged a pair of the 4.0s for $60 on amazon, I can't imagine these are dramatically different, unless they have a color way you just love.

I have been wearing my pair of warranty replacement 4.5's for about a week now, and I would actually say these feel a lot different than the 4.0. To me they are more comfortable, easier to slip on, and it feels like there is more cushioning around the heel/ankle area. Compared to the 4.0's it feels like there is basically no breaking in period at all. Basically, the upper feels significantly softer and less stiff but at the cost of stability which is what I liked the most about the 4.0. It's still an ok shoe and I will still use these until they wear out but probably will be looking for a new shoe after that...

Another minor annoyance is it seems like the tongue is too short and barely sticks out enough to prevent the laces from touching my ankle

Odd that this is supposedly heavier than the 4.0 because due to the above characteristics it definitely does not "feel" heavier.

My experience with the 4.5s mirrors yours. Granted, I never tried the 4.0s. My biggest complaint is the tongue being too short, as it constantly slips down and to the side, even after trying to secure it with a runner’s knot. The other disappointing thing about these shoes is the complete lack of ventilation. Despite all the “waves” in the upper, absolutely zero air comes through the shoe. I’ve also found the vent underneath the insole to be non functioning because only two of the tiny holes underneath the shoe line up with the perforations on the insole. I’m not looking forward to playing these in warmer weather. Overall, pretty disappointed with these Revolts, they are far from unplayable, but have some annoying flaws.

Did you get the 4.5 as a warranty replacement for 4.0 through Tennis Warehouse or directly from Head?

These are some of my favorite shoes in terms of weight/comfort/play-ability. Anybody know if they are coming out with the 5.0? The 4.5s seem to be going out of stock and very hard to find...

How is the toebox width compared to the 4.0? It seems to be quite different to the 4.5

I really liked the 3.5’s. They were light, snappy, supportive enough, and lasted a while. Do the 4.5’s maintain that identity? I too think the toebox looks narrower on the 4.5 judging by photos, but would need to try them on
