Hi,

I'm using Head RIP Control 16 on my Head LM Radical, but for awhile my elbow hurt, and I'm wondering if anyone knows any other string which perform similar to Head RIP Control 16?

I have it strung at 60lbs, I like it because I use lots power and Head RIP Control 16 gives me more control.

I'd appreciate your help...

thanks,
DS

If you like RIP Control 16, you'll really like RIP Control 17. Stringing it at 55 Lbs will help you with your elbow condition. It does everything better than the 16, but durability.

youre probably stringing too high. if its not that, its your technique. rip control is very soft. also, since its low powered, maybe you're swinging too hard.

What string is like Rip Control 17 but even lower-powered? I like the comfort level of Rip Control but would like even more control. I have elbow/shoulder issues so am very cautious about going to poly. Thanks.

RIP is a multi and soft string. I think this brand is not the problem.
First at all lower your tension. @55 lbs could help. Also take a look at your technique. Ask for a professional assistance to determine wrong shots.
But, if you think you need to change, I recommend you X-One Biphase from Tecnifibre, Xcel from Babolat, NXT from Wilson or similar multis.
TW has a link dedicated to soft (arm-friendly) strings:

Good luck in your search!

Head RIP control is made with poleyofine ribbons. try ISO Speed pro 17, similar construction, similar feel -- but softer
