Head satellite tour mp 18x19 pattern

What a sleeper stick , I’m always shocked that not more folks don’t use this or at least used to hit with it. It’s such a beautiful frame .makes me crazy . Love the colors too. But it does hit so good great pop , I found buttered control with all my shots. Got more spin with it than any of the other twin tubes that head made back in the day. This will be my next racket in my golden years . No question about it. I still kinda wonder if it was at all possible that Andre may have used this for a time under his paint.. didn’t Agassi use an 19x18 pattern just like this one has ?
I could see him using a 12 oz stick crazy head light with some flex , no ? Maybe it’s just hopeful wishing . I like the no frills twin tubes , super plain , and this one at 54= is one of those rackets that feels like it’s stiffness where so many RA,S on rackets are arbitrary numbers , but this is one of those that fells actually softer than the specs ..
Comes in 3 versions one version is with normal paint , it plays terrible in comparison to the other 2 . One is a long body and the other is a standard 27 both of those have a sticker film as their paint job. Seeming,t it’s just me big sticker vacuum sealed onto the frame .. hard to remove too , I have removed it and it wasn’t easy..
Love the long handle too, normally I don’t but on this it just looks cool .. to me it’s the best overdone racket head ever made . To me it’s the best oversize racket anyone ever made . If there is anyone out there that likes soft ......not noodles per say.... frames with a little pop this may be o e ya need in your bag, great slices . Even better flat drives off both wings, decent spin .. check it out !

This is the same mold as the Prestige 660, right? I think Andre did use the Prestige 660 very briefly in the mid-aughts.

Oooh I don’t know the answer to this one . Sounds intriguing. Anyone else know ?
I didn’t realize he played with any prestig molds only radical types , the satellite is its own mold maybe or no.. I’m a laymen when it comes to any oversize what so ever . So I’m gonna put my head down and my listening ears on on this thread . Give us the knowledge boys!

It always seemed like the head satty was the answer for a close player to the White Tom’s reach machine . Extremely eerily simiar specs no?

I handful of months back I bought a pair of these on an auction. I was super disappointed when they arrived broken. I did get my money back but I really wanted to try these frames.

I have a Head Fusion Tour, is this the same?? Mine appears to be a 660 but doesn’t actually say on the frame.

@PhilSki

I doubt that it is. Fusion frames were AL with graphite to fuse the throat. Softer than the composite line, made for the big box stores at a mass market price point.

The examples of frame I strung BITD seem to suffer from very aggressive players wearing out the bumpers. They did not withstand such abuse.

Agassi did use the Prestige Classic 660 aka Classic MP at the 2003 US Open.

Your brain needs to be studied by science it’s incredible bro ! Thank you for being in my life on TT . And our personal communications are fantastic ! You are THE MAN!

Just got this stick off an famous auction site and can't wait to hit with it. Although it has old 17g synthetic gut in it, want to try it with those strings 1st :)

So now I have two satellite tours and they feel really good in hand. It does feel like a very controllable and comfortable tweener racquet. Can't wait to pop the synthetic gut that are in both sticks so I can put some decent multi m's/poly x's hybrid in them.

Nice ! Excited to hear about your first experiences with them !
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did :)
It really is quite a treasure from head. I wish they could have given us a 95 version on this exact racquet . I LOVE the 102 . But it would have been neat to have a smaller mid plus version too .
Head premier was suppose to fill that void I believe . But it did not .

Lucky enough to use a new Premier Tour. Then bought four Candycane Radicals. Awesome

I wanted to love those premiers ! Could not hit a single forehand in the court with them tho . I don’t understand. It should have been the racket for my life ! But nope. Shame too cuz it’s my fave paint job ever from head . E v e r. Still remember the day I saw it first . Love at first sight . I should of known then

Wish I knew this . I would have given mine to you . I loved them but just decided to play with others .

I couldn't wait to pop the strings so I mounted the racquets and cut out just the crosses to put in some 17g fleabay chinese copoly in there with the 17g old synth. gut mains. One of my favorite string hybrids. With the full synthetic gut I couldn't get the feel, power, control and spin right no matter how I adjusted. Played good 3 sets of doubles this weekend with these two satellite tours and the only thing that was great was the volleys. Will see what the hybrid will do to these sticks. :)

Now to find which grommets fit this Head Satellite, 102sq.in. and 18x19 pattern hmmmm.....
I have a couple of Sat Tours with Flexpoint Prestige Team cap grommets that fit just fine, if you don't mind the little Flexpoint cutout area at 3:00 and 9:00. I don't know if those grommets are still around anywhere, but their extra weight suits the very head-light Sat Tour nicely.

I have tried a bunch lately.
The twintube Extreme xl MIA, is very nice to hit with IMO. Soft yet very stable. Powerful not harsh at all. Like a Babo PD without the usual issues in a way.
Candycane Radical was the softest racquet of the series that I used. PD arm wrecker IMHO
