Head Speed MP Graphene Touch - Jannik Sinner's Mold

I found a store in my country who still has a bunch of New Old Stock Head Speed MP Graphene Touch blue version with Zverev face on the hoop paper. The funny thing that I notice from this store, they never discount the racket no matter it's older model as I found 2021 Head Gravity is priced the same as 2023 model and I can't find the 2025 model in their listing.

Anyway... Since Jannik Sinner's racket called TGT 301.4 which leads to the Speed MP Graphene Touch, do you think it's still worth getting this NOS racket at $180 today in year of 2025?

Is it a future classic? 22mm beam instead of 23mm today's speed mp spec.

I'm playing with Wilson Ultra Pro v4 16x19 which requires fast full swing and that's my playstyle. Will I cross the bridge too far with this Head Speed MP Graphene Touch?

Since racquets are now at least 50% more, it is definitely worth it monetarily.

The feel will be totally different than an Ultra Pro though. The pattern will be more open on the Speed and more power. But any racquet is playable if given enough time.

Because the price jumps so much, the older MSRP looks cheap, I guess. Or Am I understanding you differently, as in, it's still too much for the old model (6-7 gen from Aux 2.0, maybe)

I bought Dunlop CX200 prev gen for $100 last year but still can't gel with it like how I do it with the UP. Put it back on the bag and never get picked up again, sadly.

It's not, IMO. The frame itself isn't that special. Also, a random off the shelf Graphene touch doesn't look like Sinner's racquet, nor does it hit like it.

On the other hand, you can customize other racquets to be similar to Jannik's setup (325g, 33.3 cm, 340 SW, high string tension) and they give the feel of encouraging you to play like Jannik does.

It's the opposite of the PA98 IMO. There, the frame itself seems to matter. Even if you duplicate the specs of Carlos's setup on an Ezone 98 or Extreme Pro, it won't feel the same.

It is a good price for a NOS frame that is more than a year or two old. But yes also compared to prices for new frames now.
Particularly since there could be some demand for it because of Sinner's prominence.

This is night and day different from your UP v4. This will go into your back EVEN faster and never come out again. Dont expect any future value for this or any other racket.

Are you a sheer of tennis? You speak what's my mind need to hear without calculating here and there.

Its tempting nonetheless.... Since the UPv4 is still not at the bottom price yet. Gonna grab another once its price goes down more. Expecting 40% off just like tennis only Australia did it.

Its is so so different from the UP. I played the 18x20 for 2+ years. Also your statement about not being able tolerate/manage with the 16x19 CX200 is what made it an easy call.

What racket do you easily switch from the UP then?

I don't think the new Ultra 99 Pro would be a racket for me anyway. Just way too different.

My UP was 18x20 so quite different from your 16x19 so not recommended to follow or even consider for yourself - I moved to 22 Ezone 98 because I got tired of working so hard with the UP and also because the nothing balls that intermittently showed up with the UP would get taken advantage of.

I totally understand... I tried my friend's Ezone 98 2025 and it's so much easier and I tend to hit the ball quite long with it. I don't know if I would end up liking it if I keep playing with it. The danger of just testing a racket for a short term, the honeymoon period does play part to make me think that the racket gel with me right away

It’s a good frame, needs head weight given pretty low twistweight. Sinner specs make sense given his style and what that frame needs to play well.

I’ve set up a tgt301.4 at sinner spec and 360+ at almost that spec just a little lower SW. 360+ has higher twist weight without lead at 3 & 9. I prefer the 360+ overall. I can hit identically big with either, but the spacing and response consistency is better on the 360+ given I’m not a pro who hits dead center more often than not. 360+ helps the player a little more and still feels like a real frame with minimal tech.
