Hey. Have been having an overall very good experience with Head Velocity (Black, gauge: 17) strung at 48 lbs in my Pure Strike 16x19 (98). I originally switched because of elbow pain when using Poly strings in the past (coming from Head Lynx Tour which was probably my favorite string) and have not had any pain since switching to Velocity. However, I´m finding that especially after losing a bit of tension, Velocity in my Strike has become too powerful (which I was planning to reduce by increasing tension to maybe 52 lbs also to get a tiny bit more control). What bothers me the most unfortunately, especially in matches, is the low launch angle I´m having with Velocity, which ends with me going into the net too much when attacking opponents are playing without much effect/not much rhythm.
I fear that the only way to get a much better launch angle is switching back to Poly, which I could try, but are there are any other multis out there that would play and feel similar to Velocity while having a higher launch angle, or do you recommend playing a bit with tensions with Velocity first? Or is going back to Head Lynx Tour or a similar one worth trying?
