Head Youtek IG Speed MP 300

3loudboys

G.O.A.T.
Customised with 10g tac in the handle, 3G at 9 and 3G at 3 and overgrip. Taking out for a hit tonight. The high 50’s flex was a real draw.

Anyone still use these and what’s your set up?

I have so many rackets in the pipeline so haven't tried it yet.

This is the 57RA 16x19 Gravity Pro Platform racquet that no one asked for - apparently the end result will be very similar to the racquet Ash Barty was playing.

I want to get 2 racquets from the RG website up north where it is still available NEW, match them perfectly and go to town.

Should be freaking awesome.

I used these in college after being a long-time Wilson 6.1 and HEAD Prestige user. I grew tired of the lack of forgiveness in the 95sq inch head sizes and wanted something more modern.

Draw was a multitude of things - RA stiffness of 59, thin beam, and more forgiving headsize mentioned above. When I was playing them full time I was around 360G with an overgrip and strings. 8 PTS HL

I use the pure strike tour now, but the youtek ig speed 300 still an option. Own four and will never sell them. A real holy grail in terms of power/control if you weight then up right

The combination of the thin beam,100 square inch head size and low RA is a winning formula for me. Have used the old Prince Tour 100’s 18x20 in the past and they are similar with some weight added. At 360g yours must have hit a heavy ball - do you still hit with them at that weight?

yup I’ve got them all around 365g which to me feels more like 345g given the thin beam. They definitely win the battle between tennis ball and tennis racket lol

I feel like generally they do well handling pace and the sweet spot is fairly consistent

I have two of these that I have off-and-on loved for all of the reasons mentioned above. I just wish that the string pattern wasn’t quite so open. I prefer 18x20 rackets, but even a more closed 16x19 would make them perfect. Because all of my other rackets are 18x20 I only have thin shaped poly around… I really have to get some thicker gauge round strings to try in there.

It's funny you bring this up cause i have been looking to find one of those in my grip size! Back then i remember i demo one and played with it for 30 minutes only (not sure ig or the previous version) but i did not like it cause i thought it was a bit too powerful for my taste (i actually was not good enough to control it lol) but now i would not mind to test it again.
However i would only add max 4 grams for myself.
Let me know how it plays and the power level and control!
