Head YT IG Prestige S & Radical MP

I enjoy my IG Rad MP’s but would like to try a 16x19 version. Difficult as they don’t do one! Would anyone say that the YT IG Prestige S plays similarly? I knows specs are fairly close but would value any opinions before I splash out on one

Thanks.

I have tried one a while ago but didn’t really like it. I only ask as the Prestige S is available to me.

Unfortunately didn't play the Radical because of the dense pattern but I really liked the Prestige S and have been thinking about going back to it.

Unfortunately I haven't play with any 16x19 (full weight) Rad.
But I've played a lot with IG Rad MP (18x20) and IG Prestige S.
Very different racquets.
Two things I remember the most:
- IG Rad MP is too underpowered (you have to string it very low) and besides its low stiffness vibrates as a hell...
- IG Prestige S has no control at all. And when you string it high (near 60's) in order to gain more control loses any feel it has (and it doesn't has any from the start).

So, my advice is to strung your Rad 18x20 MP as low as you can with a spin friendly wire...

PS: Head Graphene Radical S is a much better racquet from those two (more stable, nice feel, spin friendly), if you like a light 16x19 Rad and an easy platform racquet (you could make it much heavier).

idk if they play similarly as I haven't played the YT IG MP but the YT IG S is really, really good.

I tried the IG Prestige S and found it sluggish and awkward swinging and the string pattern too open. I frequently now use the XT Prestige S and find it far far superior. Excellent overall balance and very smooth swinging with a string pattern near identical to the XT Radical MP.

Different strokes... I liked the feel and swing of the IG Prestige S but agree that the string pattern is too open for my taste. The string pattern on the XT S is better but I thought the balance made it feel sluggish. It was as if more weight in the head slowed it down but the overall light weight robbed it of the power it seemed like the head mass should produce. In reference to the OP’s question, I didn’t like the IG Radical very much for the same reason. If you like the IG Rad, though, I think the XT Prestige S is closer to it than the IG version.
