I'm 15 years old, been playing for about a year or so. I'm still playing with my first and only racquet, which is like a $39.99 Wilson; didn't want to buy a $189.99 racquet, play for a month and then decide that I didn't really like tennis. That would have been a huge waste of money, so I just bought the Wilson US Open Racquet.

I'm looking to buy a better racquet, the Wilson [K] Four 105.

    Wilson US Open Racquet:
    Headsize: 110" Oversize
    Length: 27.5"
    Composition: Titanium/Graphite
    Weight: 10 oz

    Wilson [K] Four 105:
    Headsize: 105"
    Length: 27.25"
    Weight: 9.9 oz

My question is this; because the [K] Four has a smaller headsize and shorter length, would it affect my playing in a negative way? Is the 105" that much different from the 110" headsize?

    Thanks a bunch everyone!

specs look almost the same, and no, there won't be a noticeable difference between 105 and 110. have fun

you are going to need to factor in more than just that, look at
    1. string pattern (18x20,16x18,16x19 for example)
    2. stiffness
    3. Balance
That length difference won't really effect you at your playing level, When i use babolat pd + and standard I can't feel much of a difference and that is a whole .5" differential. And from 105-110 wont change much, The sweet spot won't be nerfed down taht much, it may be even bigger because it is top of the line technology. I used an OS NFury 110 sq in head for a year and switched to k95 with minor issues. Issue was weight from 9oz to 11.7 but i can play with a 95 sq in head even though i was used to 110. You need to switch to that racquet asap, that walmart racquet is holding you back.

    String pattern [K] Four 105: 16X19
    String pattern US Open: 16X19

The string tension on the US Open racquet is 50 - 60 lbs. / 23 - 27 kg

    Oh, I had another question.

Does a player's height factor into the racquet that player chooses? I'm very very VERY short, at about 5'2, so in other words, does the headsize matter when it comes to height?

Its personal prefernce. Some of the shorter players like using extra long racquets to add more reach and a little more power. I'm only 5'5 but I use 85-90 head sizes because Im use to it. I know some one whos around your height, but likes to use a 98" head sizes. So its about whats comfortable to you.
