I have A LOT of admiration for the young tennis player. She is force to reckoned with on the courts. I’m more than sure we will hear her name over the years to come.

She's only 20. Has strength, speed, determination and a decent serve. I like Anya, she's my girl. I hope she wins every GS from now until she turns 40 ---- but I voted for 3-5.

I liked her gutsy offensive style but I could never get over the grunting and shrieking. Also I didn't like her attitude whe she lost to Osaka but she is young and she will learn, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt to her but I can't like a player making that kind of noise. That's crossing the red line for me.

I have to admit Anya's rebel yell is a little louder than most but I kind of like the intensity. I know this will be unpopular but I love Osaka as a player but can't stand her emotionless outward demeanor and how soft-spoken she is.

She sounds awkward sometimes but I guess it is normal for a Japanese to talk like that. Having said that my favorite Japanese player is much more lively and cute! o_O

This thread's title is always reminding me of this:
And boy, how do I hate that song...

But yes, I'm really impressed with her. She's been very consistent these past few months and that's great to see on a tour that isn't known for that at all.

Anyone translate this? Though she won the match and tournament in the end. Tursunov's locks tho....

She's quite the physical beast, isn't she? She has that Dutra Silva grunt going on though, so many variations and volumes....

And it's not looking like she'll get past Garcia. Damn
She came back with a fury and is now leading the 3rd set. Astonishing come back for Sabalenka. She was down 5 games to 1 in the 2nd set after losing the first. This girl is for real.

Wow. Impressive stuff yet again. I'd love to see her qualify for the finals. With this form I doubt someone wants to play her. Also LOVE the thread's title.

She's like a completely different person during interviews after she win matches. Fierce, feisty, ruthless, in-your-face on court during match, and perfectly pleasant afterward - especially after a win. I don't remember seeing how her post-match interviews after a lost, though.

I like both García and Sabalenka. I was watching the match on WTATV and I’m baffled that García lost. She had a chance to put the match away in the second set. She won the first set and had Sabalenka on the ropes 5-2. These young tennis stars (Osaka included) are really making a name for themselves.

She's taking the early lead in today's match v. Wang and then she loses it. C'mon girl. I'm at work and can't watch it, does she look tired?
