Help Choose a Racket

I currently user a Yonex RDX 500 MP. While I like the racket, there are some things which I want to improve on.

Firstly I want more control.
I also want a more sold & stable feel
Not sure but power, my forehand is little too powerfull, and my backhand (2HD) sometimes not enough

Previously I have used a LM Radical OS, and while it didn’t have the control, and it was much too powerful, I do think it was more stable.

Firstly I thought about the Yonex RDX 500 MP HD, or Mid… but the HD is not available in the UK, and Mid, well 90” is a lot smaller than 98”, I am not sure if I am good enough (3.5 currently).

Then I thought about the Head LM Prestige… but again the MP or the Mid?

Can anyone help me to deside?… I would only consider, a Yonex, Head, Wilson or Prince.

Oh I forgot to say, I have my RDX 500 MP string very tight for control and to keep the power down.

If you want more power and stability without sacrificing a lot of control, try just adding a little lead tape at 3 and 9 to your current racket.

It sounds as though you want the headsize and flex of your Yonex, but with a little more weight and swingweight. Agree with Brent, adding lead tape might help, but if you want to calm down the power instead of increasing it, maybe put some under the grip or on the throat as well as (or instead of) at 3 and 9. Choice of string could also make a difference. Or you could try the Voelkl C10 Pro or Tour 10 -- wonderfully stable, comfortable, well-made frames with relatively low power for a 98.

Not bothered about head-size as long as I get the control and stability... the flex... not bothered about either.

I was thinking that the Prestige would be more control because of the tighter string pattern, but was wondering about the stability.

Think before I decide I might try lead-tape.
