Help identifying a 6.1 95

I think it may be a Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 95 18x20. I got it very lightly used for 20 dollars. The only reasons, I think, it was 20 dollars was because the top grommet is slightly broken, but besides that I'd put it at a 9/10. It is grey torwards the handle and red on the head. It says hyper carbon on the inside of one side and on the throat it has Hyper ProStaff 6.1 and double braid. Is this racquet any good? I do not know how to upload pictures, sorry.

It is obviously a test racquet lol, but I want to know why it says this? I don't really notice any differnces or anything out of the ordinary. The way it has "TEST RACKET" looks like a design.

Okay, I was looking at it and noticed it is a tad bit longer, it appears, than my prince exo3 tour. I measured it and it looks to be like 27 point something. Less than a quarter of an inch longer. But it does not say stretch on it anywhere?

Don't worry, not taking the pi55, just having a laugh. Racquet/Sports shops will get frames from Wilson etc for customers to try as demo racquets. Once that frame/design has become obsolete they then are free to sell them on as they see fit. You have come across one of these such racquets. Just check there's no structural problems and you'll be fine.

Recall TW sold a Tour version of the HPS 6.1 95 with an 18x20 string pattern years ago. Have one, supposedly it was available to college players and juniors. My racquet weighs the same as the original PS 6.1 95. 12.9 oz strung

I have found out what it is, It is a 6.1 95 stretch. Where normally it would say midplus stretch, it has TEST RACQUET. But it is an 18x20, 27.5 in.

Wilson's older demos had "Test" on them instead of "Demo."
Just picked up an HPS 6.1 with "TEST racket" on the throat and resurrecting this thread...

Does anyone know more about these test/demos? I'd never seen one in person/pic before - were they commonly distributed to many clubs etc as loaner/demos or some individual players? Think the HPS was the next 6.1 after the Classic and maybe they were testing the waters with the new version to see how ppl liked it?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows more about these...

They were probably marked to discourage pros/shops from selling them.

Next, we discuss the palpable difference between the HPS with a silver "W" versus the ones with a yellow "W"...

Yellow W above the grip. Have an HPS 6.1 Stretch w/Yellow W too

Makes sense. Which is funny as now being a racket collector (and big fan of the 6.1) the test racket decal made me want it more! This example is too clean to have been demo'd much. The only images I could find online of the marking were on other Hyper Carbon era Wilson frames. Guess they stopped after that.

Both HPS's I have are yellow W. Think the nCode PS also had multiple W colors

Any pictures of the stick you picked up? Also, the N95s i believe had the throat area that was yellow

It was a demo racket. Or at least was intended to be a demo... hence the word TEST in the bridge. Wilson did this for demos around that time.
