I picked up a Pro Kennex Graphite 88 from a local used sporting goods shop. I think the frame is older (says "The world's largest racquet manufacturer", which i'm pretty sure is no longer true; maybe it is) mainly because of the design. 88 sqin head, no bumper guard, graphite composite, ~12 oz (maybe a little over, no scale), and the sweetest leather grip I've ever felt. The grip says Pro Kennex Genuine Cowhide and has a code of some sort on it: AK406849.
The thing is, this racquet is in 9/10 condition, due to some scratching on the head, and would be rated higher if it had a bumper guard! I couldn't find anything online about the racquet, and the guy at my local pro shop hadn't seen one before; his best guess was that it may have a been a racquet that Pro Kennex made specifically for a certain Sporting Goods retail chain. Here are some pics. What do you think?
