I will be getting my Fischer Vt Comp 105 restrung tomorrow. It has a closed 18*19 string pattern and will be strung in the low 50's.
My previous job was Weisscannon Scorpion 1.22 mains with Volkl Powerfibre 18g crosses at 48/51. The Powerfibre started to fray VERY quickly and I found balls to fly a bit with this setup, however it was very comfortable.
I need my stringjob to be comfortable as I have some arm problems. I am also looking for spin, control and long playable life - not really a string breaker. I don't mind using gut in the crosses.
I have:
VS Team 17g
Klip Armour Pro 17g (only enough for the crosses)
Pacific Toughgut 17g
Scorpion 1.22
Silverstring 1.25
RIP Control 17g
Cyberblue 16, 17 and 17L
Maxim Touch 16g
Gamma Professional Spin 16g
Gamma Asterisk Tour 17g (only enough for the crosses)
Xcel Premium 17g (only enough for the crosses)
I am ready to give anything a go as long as it is reasonably comfy! Any suggestions welcome, thanks
