Help me choose: wilson blade 100 vs head speed mp vs head extreme mp

Help me choose: wilson blade 100 vs head speed mp vs head extreme mp.
I`m 48 y.o. all-around player. My past rackets:
Wilsom nblade
Head radical mp microgel
Head gravity.
I need more forgiving racket, big sweetpot, maneuverability, power.

I dont think the 3 rackets you selected will give you more of what you want, at least not to the noticeable extent. I would look for something lighter with a bigger headsize, eg. Dunlop CX 200 Os, Head Gravity Team...

Those are all good frames but while they have similar specs, they perform a little differently so I would demo them rather than go with forum recommendations. I have owned all three and my opinion is as follows.

Power: EMP>SMP>B100
Control: B100>SMP>EMP
Spin: EMP>SMP>B100
Maneuverability: EMP=B100>SMP

I think the Blade 100 is good for a player going up in size from a 98 to a 100 as it has some 98 properties of better control and not overly powerful. Speed MP is the all arounder that does everything well. Extreme MP is similar to a Pure Aero and suits a player that uses a lot of topspin as it lacks control on flat balls.

Very nice quick overview by @heavyD, all of which I would agree with.

I would only add: if you can, I would demo all three frames in succession, all with the same string material type if possible (to equalize swing weight from the string bed), and see for yourself. Depending on how recently you played the nBlade, and/or Gravity Pro (you didn't mention which Gravity model), then the Speed MP might feel easy/quick enough to wield, and would probably be the best middle ground between the Blade and Extreme. That said, that you lack too much precision and/or ease-of-maneuverability with the Speed, then falling back to the Blade would probably be the next move. As for the Extreme, while it certainly would offer the highest power-to-weight ratio of the three, as @heavyD said, control has to come from more swipey mechanics; if you can adjust, great, but if not, then it will probably have to be the Speed or Blade.

Best of luck. Any further questions, feel free.

You want a pure drive or EZone 100 for sure. Level is also going to be a big differentiation. I found the speed MP to be quite demanding for my more modern mechanics, and it was too difficult for me to use, even at a pretty high level. IMO the Blade 100 was not that forgiving at all. Slightly more forgiving than the Blade 98, which I thought was only "OK".

The Speed MP is probably the best all around racquet of the three. You must get one on spec or a little below in the 2024 model. If you get one over spec it can be a bit sluggish. You can still get the 2022 model which had a lower swing weight.

I had an over spec one and I hated it

I hit with a friends that was 327 & it was amazing. So I ordered a demo from TE for extended demo & it was 341. So I turned turned around & ordered another from TW that was 340. Both felt totally different than my buddies. Way to sluggish at 340+ & didn’t like at all.

That's atrociously bad, and the main reason to use a matching service (as unnecessary as it should be).

I think the blade is the best all-around racquet. swingweight of the speed is higher (330). seems a lot for an 100 sq frame.

Thx, I find swing weight around 320-325. In past I hade elbow pain.

Have you considered the new T-Fight 300, the 100? I'm looking at that and also the Blade 100 V9, just waiting on more comments regarding the T-FIght as it was just recently released. I thought about the Speed MP but don't want SW approaching 330. If I went Speed MP I would probably get the 2022 which has SW almost 10 points lower. SW on the T-Fight is 315.

Dunno which Gravity you used, but the newest MP and Tour(a 98) rate very hghly.
I would also consider a Prince ATS 100 if you have access to one.
