Help me decide what Head Graphene Rev racquet to get

Hi TW,

I have a friend who is currently using the Steam 99S but we now realize it is too heavy for her. She loves how solid it feels but she can't wield it for long duration.

I have narrowed down my selection to the following 3 Head racquets and would like suggestions on which one would work best. She prefers head light balanced racquet and I know all three are head heavy but all are customizable so I need to know which one offers the most solid feel and is most stable.

I would demo these racquets from you but the lowest grip size offered is too big for her so I am just trying to figure out which one to get instead.

Head Graphene Instinct Rev
Head Graphene Speed Rev
Head Graphene Radical Rev

parasailing,

All three of those racquets are pretty different to her current racquet setup. As far as which one feel the most stable and solid, I am not sure any of those will have the feel that you are looking for. If you would like racquets that are lighter than the Steam 99S, I would recommend getting the MP versions of the Instinct, Speed, or Radical as they would be more stable than the REV versions and lighter weight than the Steam 99S. Another option could be the Prince Warrior 100 ESP. What grip size is she? We have demo grip sizes down to 4 1/4. As far as playtesting racquets with a bigger grip size, TW playtesters Tiffani and I prefer 4 1/4 and most playtest racquets are 3/8. We are still able to get a good feel for the racquet. Plus, Wilson grips are a different shape than Head grips.

Thanks Brittany for the quick response. The MP versions are around 11oz compared to her current Steam which is 11.4oz so she needs something at least 1oz lighter than her current racquet. She uses a 4 1/8 grip size for the Wilson so unless the Head racquets 4 1/4 grip size is really the same as the Wilson, the demos will not work.

Just a suggestion, but if you're looking to try a headlight racquet in the 10 - 10.5 ounce range, give the Volkl Organix 6 and the Volkl Organix V1 MP a shot.

I am a fan of Head racquets in general, but in the 10 - 10.5 ounce range, the Volkls are better options.
