Help me Find Replacment yonex racket/string

Hey guys, I need help finding a similar racket (YONEX) and string PLZ HELP ME!

I'm a returning player. I am still using my vcore 98d? The rackets are not being made anymore, and i think the 98 Si is the newer version. However, I checked the specs, it's quite different in terms of weight/swingweight and most importantly the STIFFNESS. I think going from 65 to 70+ is pretty big change. I use big banger original (at 58) I feel that its pretty stiff already when I hit hard. I get some index finger sore/pain/uncomfortness if I play hard for too long, I think 70 stiff on the Si would prob. kill me.

I am looking at my options in yonex since I wana stick with the rectangular head shape. I don't really see any other rackets that are very similar to my vcore 98d besides the 98 si or maybe the new Ezone 98 DR or Ei.
Can anyone recommend me some good yonex rackets that are similar or feel similar, or BETTER rackets in general.
Would Ezone 98DR be a good choice for me? Does Ezone 98 DR feel more powerful/less control than my vcore 98D? It has bigger frame/ more open string pattern, but less stiffness.

As for strings, are there any other polyz that plays like BBO but maybe a bit softer or more friendly? ALU doesn't feel comfortable at all so don't recommend me that.
When I was away on break, the RPM blast came out, and somebody told me its pretty popular, is that a good string that perform better than BBO?

I only have experience with a few Yonex models including the RD Ti-80, RDS 002 Tour, and RQiS 1 Tour. I still have the Ti-80's, but only noodle around with those every now and then. The Yonex family of racquets definitely seems to offer a particular flavor - their semi-square Isometric design makes for a racquet that plays a little bigger than a more traditional oval-headed alternative having the same head size, at least for me. Not necessarily good or bad, just a personality quirk.

It seems as though the newer Ai 98 is similar to the RQiS 1 Tour in that they both have a firm (wider) hoop and significant flex in the throat. I've enjoyed this layout in a couple of racquets over the years because it seems to bring a combo of comfort and control while also offering rather crisp feel that might not be readily available with some softer frames. If you don't want a rock-hard rig, the Ai 98 might be worth a look, but be ready to customize it with just a little lead tape if you want more stability.

I'm not a big poly user myself, but I do a good deal of stringing at home for a rather broad spectrum of players. My first thought in terms of keeping with a softer poly setup is to try thinner gauges at moderate tensions (if you haven't yet). I've had a lot of success lately using Isospeed Baseline 17L (1.20mm) in hybrids for several players who want a poly hybrid that's somewhat comfortable. I'll usually use Gosen OGSM 16 ga. or Forten Sweet 16 as a cross. I've also had a couple of rather strong sluggers recently switch into Baseline 16L (1.25mm) after they liked it better than RPM Blast (they play with full beds of poly).

I work at a club in the summer where my boss carries a full line of Wilson and Luxilon equipment, so he's always using their string. He sampled Luxilon's newer 4G Soft this past summer in a hybrid (probably with Wilson NXT) and found this poly to be a LOT softer than the original 4G that he has used in his own hybrids for a while. So there's another option.

I'm a big fan of Volkl racquets, so I'll also recommend a look at their Super G 10 - probably the heavier 325g - if you want to look at other racquet brands. This is another frame with a firm hoop and flexible throat that I believe has a whole lot to offer. I have the previous version - Organix 325g - in my bag and found fantastic results with it after a little lead tuning. A few of our pals here have found success with tuning their O10's and SG 10's, too.

hey i'm in the same boat and started another two threads on the same topic http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/racquet-s-most-similar-to-yonex-vcore-98d.548482/ and http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/racquet-s-most-similar-to-yonex-vcore-98d.548501/

As you can see I bought DR98 hoping it will be a perfect substitute for vcore 98D but these racquets have almost no similarities. To me vcore 98D is practically perfect - not too heavy but very stable, 16x20 string pattern but I can generate as much spin as I want, it's very fast through the air so I can swing freely without any resistance. I'm hoping I will get used to DR98 but so far it's not happening to me. I have hard time adjusting to DR98 and it feels kinda sluggish to me. Not saying it's a bad racquet but for sure it's not similar to 98D
