Help Need Tennis Tips///Practice

Hi, I am from Baltimore Maryland and I am 16 years old. I started playing tennis last year and made it on the tennis varisity team. I play for Polytechnic Insitute High. During my first year playing, I made it in 3rd for city champs for mix doubles and went to regionals and lost there. I want to get better and practice a lot more however I have no one to practice with. Any tips for me that I can practice alone? Or does anyone know any places in Baltimore that I can go to practice tennis with other people.

This year I wanna play for men's singles for my school. Is there anyone in or near Baltimore that will practice or help me out? I think I'm really a 1.0 player lol. Im working on getting better and hope I can make it past regionals this year. And does anyone know a place where I can practice or a club with tennis people that I can practice in Baltimore? I have tried looking up at Googles and Yahoo but it doesn't have any places near me -.-. The closest park I live near is druid hill park. Any tips that will help me get better by practicing alone? ANY TIPS!!!! could be a serving or a forehand or a backhand tip!!!! ANY!!!

Okay, Thanks for you all reading this and replying I hope :)

Also try and practice your footwork. If you are a lower level player this will pay off big time in the future. Like the previous poster said just find a wall- it does not even have to be one made for tennis, just any wall will do. Hitting agtainst this will help you improve. Make sure you don't just bang away against the wall though, you have to direct your shots and make sure you use proper form.

I will play with you when I get to Baltimore, MD in a week. Coming up the first weekend in August to visit my dad( parents are divorced). I do not have a club membership so we will have to play on public tennis courts. I play varsity singles for my highschool we got to the semifinals in the state playoffs here we had the best team ever for my highschool with out #1 and #2 both going to play at div. 1 schools. You play at druid hill park I know where that is if you want to play shoot me an email at stc935703@yahoo.com. By the way Poly Tech is supposed to be for smart kids my dad graduated from there. When I;m in Baltimore I usually play at clifton park courts I know most of the guys there so I always can play with somebody.

How about getting some instruction? You can attend some group classes/clinics or go with a private coach if you'd like more personal attention. This way, you're benefiting in two ways: you improve your own game and find other avid tennis players. Obviously in a group class, it'll be easier to find others to play with. With a private coach, I'm sure he could find another student of his of the same ability for you to hit with.

If all else fails, find a wall or get a ball machine.
