Help!! Prestige Classic Tour grip noise

Rookie
Hi, 2 days ago I bought a new Prestige Tour 660 (the classic model of the 90s), that has a Suspension Grip, which I can see because it has a trasparent cap on the bottom of the grip. Yesterday I played for the first time and I realized that it makes a little sound coming from the grip. I tried to bend it to see if its broke but it seems fine.
Actually if I squeeze the grip I can feel like if it was squeezing. But only a little.
I guess it is the suspension grip. Does anybody know something about this?? because its new and I dont want to have any trouble.

Thanks.

Yep had the same problem as halfvolley777. Didn't affect play but it was very annoying. Had three of them and 2 of them had the squeeky handle and the other was perfect.

Michael Chaho: I have the same problem with one of my frames: what tab are you talking about? After removing the grip, all I see is what looks like a long staple going through the pallet. Is the tab located under the butt cap? Thanks.

Take off grip there is a "tab" on the pallet, remove tab and apply crazy glue then insert tab back

Pro Tour 630:
I have the same problem with a prestige tour 600. If I squeeze the grip, it makes this annoying noise. I removed the replacement grip and all i could see is a black plastic outer layer:

Is this what you meant with 'tab'. How do i remove it? Do I have to cut it?

Thanks, any help is appreciated!

Someone put on a heatshrink sleeve on your racquet. That's not from the factory.

LOL you noticed the heatshrink sleeve nicely in these pics.
I am following this thread too, bec I have two made in austria above handle PT600s with absolutely no problems. But never know, I heard the suspension grips can break.

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll bump this one as it has a decent pic, and I have a similar yet different issue:

PT600 with suspension grip. The suspension pallet is starting to slide ever so slightly off of the frame. Also, the buttcap now no longer stays on well, and it never was stapled on, like with other heads I have (PT280, PT630). So, to the Prestige aficionados:

1) How do you re-apply the buttcaps correctly on the Prestige Tour with Suspension grip? Super glue? Something else?

2) Once the pallet has aged and been used for so many years, how do you affix it back securely onto the racquet itself? Meaning to say, the pallet is gradually sliding off, as it seems the original glue between pallet and handle has finally deteriorated to this state. (and no, 'get a new racquet' is not an answer I'm looking for).

Thanks

i just come across this thread. my PT 660 suspension grip also has a sound on ball impact, maybe that's the reason why it was disbanded by the previous owner. i just did some modifications but im not responsible if you do the same with your racquet of the same issue that may cause damage to it. i pushed in the suspension grip and used 1/2 inch nail in both side of the bevel. will post some pics later..
