Help: Tension of Yonex Pro Spin w/ RDX

I'm getting my RDXmid restrung today and am not quite sure of the tension since I don't know how powerful, or how well Yonex Pro Spin holds tension.

My previous setup w/ Brio was actually too powerful at 46lbs, so I'm definitely going up by 5lbs.

How does Pro Spin compare with other strings, say compared to E-matrix, LF Supreme, NRG, or Prince Original Synthetic ?

Pro spin is a bit more powerful than PSGD, but not as powerful as NRG. I have not used LF supreme or ematrix. It definitely holds tension better than NRG, and moves around alot less.I have it strung at 59 in an MP 3i, but clearly I like a little higher tension than you. After demoing a LM Rad yesterday with PSGD in it, I picked my regular racquet back up after the first set and immediately noticed how much better the Tour Spin felt, (even though I did like the radical). It's a sweet multi.

Are you sure you went 46 not 56 here ? I haven't played RDX 500
but I played with MP-1(98) and SRD Mid. I would go 60 lbs on them.
The Yonex string on 2000 Pure Control at 60 lbs was also awesome.

I agree with backcourt on its power level. It's a bit more powerful the PSG
but less powerful than NRG. I found it's similar power level as LF Supreme
or touch more powerful but I know you have different feel the LF from mine....

The Yonex pro Spin has milky smooth cushion as well as crsip feel.
The tension holding was much better than average multi's.
Only reason I don't play with it is that it's only available with 16 gauge...

I really liked the Pro Spin in my RDX mid at 50 lbs. It was very nice and held tension fairly well. It started to get a bit loose and move around after about 10 hours. I strung it up again proportionally at 57lbs., and it felt even better. I think the 10 hour mark or so is where I first noticed a tension change the second time as well. It's not a big change, but you can tell the strings move around a bit more. Still less than most multis though. Much better than NXT IMO.
