Help with Poly setup, please!

Hello, everyone.
So, I’ve been playing with a VCP 97 310g for the last six months and I’ve been struggling a bit to find the right setup for me. I’ve mostly played with Tour Bite and Hyper G during this period, but something feels just off.
Currently I have no customization on my frane, but I plan on adding some weight at 10/2 to check if it gets a little livelier.
I really like poly for it’s control and spin and I’m on the athletic side so I can handle the extra work I end up having.
What do you guys suggest? I’ve seen a lot of hybrid ideas here, but never tested it.

I should mention: I kind of care to aesthetics, so if a string is black (generally goes along well with the racket colors and look sharp) is a bit cooler for me

UD
string tension and setups are so subjective, unfortunately you just have to try out different setups to see what works for you.
hybrid will be easier on your arm, for some people they get the spin and power from the poly
there is a big difference between the stiffer polys and softer ones, check the TW playtest

Answer:
D - Not enough information

Did I get it right? 8-B

Seriously though, you might as well just pick a string at random, buy 3 packs, and then try it at 3 different tensions. So many people like so many different strings. And then there's people like me who just want something that will be consistent and not break in a couple of hours but otherwise could play with syn gut, multi, or poly and find something we could be happy with.

Just in case you wanted to know, I currently play with Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable at 45lbs. My most recent trial with syn gut was Ashaway Liberty and I played it at about 50lbs. I enjoyed that too while it lasted.

-what tension do you string your racquets at?
-what string gauge (1.15, 1.20, 1.25, 1.30mm) have you used, liked, would like??

I usually string 53-55lbs. I tend to use 1.25, but I do want to go lower. I live in a not-so-big capital in Brazil, so sometimes availability is an issue for me.

-try 49lbs, with most 1.25mm polys!?
-new trend is to go lower on poly strings
-but the vcore.pro lines tend to hate high tension
-specially with solinco strings, 45-49lbs is where i would play
-however with ypt.REV, h.lynx, isospeed.CREAM = "soft poly types", i would go higher, 50-52lbs max
-vcore.pros are a "thin beam" racquet, lower tensions feel best IMO/IME

your racquet is one of the most sensitive to bad stringing, so even before thinking at which string/gauge/tension, make sure you string it properly according to yonex recommendation, and with well made knots.
Then, lead at 10-2 is pretty common on isometric to raise the sweetspot, so that’s good for sure.
As for the strings themselves, if you don’t tell what’s wrong, it’s impossible to advice..

Sometimes I feel I could use more bite from my strings, in a way it could help me increase control a bit. Also, I would appreciate a lot black strings suggestions.

If you want hybrid, I suggest Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.25 or 1.20 in the main at 46 lbs and Head Velocity 1.30 natural color at 50 lbs. This has incredible precision and control and some comfort and feel and power. YPTP is pretty good at spin, velocity is slick so it will slide and snap back in place.
