Help with strings for 12 yo with head MP lite 275g without stringing

Anyone can give me advice on strings or configuration for the head mp lite v 2022? My son 4.0 has just changed racket from a pure aero super lite 255g to the speed which is 275g. He was using v rpm soft and h velocity 16g at 21kg in the pure aero. He feels he cannot accelerate so much the ball with the new racket... any recommendation? He has tried it in 4 sessions of 2h

Multi with power, like Tf NRG2, BiPhase, or Wilson NXT, or full bed RPM Soft

Head Velocity MLT is low powered, despite its name, not well suited for kids

As others have said, you want to be stringing the absolute highest-power synthetics possible. Aside from higher power multi's, you might also check out certain higher-power syn guts if you need more durability.

Well, it could very well be more so a frame difference, than anything else. You've moved him from a highly-powerful elliptical-beamed tweener with a 26mm mid-beam and firm flex to a medium-powered 23mm boxier pleener with (I believe) a softer flex. Presuming similar stock swing weights, innate power potential is going to be lower with the Speed. And you likely won't be able to make up the difference with more explosive strings alone. You'll either need to add swing weight (which for a 12 year old may or may not be a good idea), or simply switch back to a higher-power tweener again.

Changing the string is not going to give you much more power. Racket head speed the swing weight is where power comes from.

Thanks for the replies, an example of high powered synthetic guts to make a try? We need

Just go 16g. Start with NRG2 which is the can’t go wrong power multi. For best bang for buck I would recommend prince premiere control which on sale, gets to about $6/pack.

The two synthetic guts (SG) that are too stiff for my personal taste are Gosen OG Sheep Micro and Prince SG with Duraflex. The Gosen can work for some players wanting some durability from a synthetic string, but it usually feels better when tension is lowered by at least a few pounds compared with other softer SG's.

Many SG's are moderately soft. I've had good luck with Babolat, Prince Original (without the Duraflex), Volkl Classic, and my buttery schmoove favorite from Kirschbaum. The Gosen string will likely give you better service life, but it does have a little extra backbone, firmness, "starch", yaddah-yaddah to it.

I generally only put multifiber in somebody's racquet when I'm either replacing an old bed of multi or that player's new top priority is softness and comfort. I agree with our pal @hadoken above that Prince Premier Control brings very good bang for our buck for that string type. If you want to get a good combo of softness and a string that will last, you can try PPC in 15L ga. if the regular 16 ga. doesn't quite hold up for long enough.
