Henman racquet specs?

chair ump

Semi-Pro
I know it's been stated here that he's playing with a Bosworth custom frame or a wilson prostaff classic 6.1 (extended length) without the PWS under his new Slaz PJ, but does anybody know the weight and string tension on the mains and crosses of his racquet?

Why do you want to know about his equipment? You don't want to play like him, do you?

Yup, I really would hate to play like Henman. One of the best S&Vs in the game, been top 5 in the world, multimillionaire in prize money and sponsorship. God it would be awful to play like him.

Henman is a great player, but unfortunately he is not in his prime anymore. Definitely his age and his style of play (all those years of jolting right and left for volleys) have taken a toll on his body. Just look at how injury prone he is nowadays. Plus he's got two kids to look after so he may not be committing as much time to the practice court as he used to before he had kids. Anyways, chair ump, if you do a search of previous posts, Henman's racket specs have been discussed and posted numerous times. If I recall correctly, I think he strings in the lower tensions (approx 42-45 lbs) with TIMO 17G in the mains and VS gut 17G in the crosses. He does mention on his website that he varies his tensions relative to the court surface he is playing on.

Tennis Nickmo:

The sad irony is that in England, where "Sniffy" should be a God, he is regarded my many as a failure. He gets the worst press and the amateur players talk about him like he lost The Battle of Britain, or worse. No Wimbledon title is a big neon albatross around his neck. :)
