Apart from the speed of the courts, he's also miffed that the AO sold Baggy's fans tickets in a block, but wouldn't offer the same to his fans.

    Hewitt serves notice to TA

THE row between Lleyton Hewitt and tennis officialdom has escalated, with the management of the former world No.1 instructing Tennis Australia to limit the use of his image in promoting the game.
Hewitt, who will miss next weekend's Davis Cup tie against Switzerland, has made the stance following a summer of feuding with Australian Open tournament chief executive Paul McNamee over the courts at Melbourne Park.
Tennis Australia chief executive Steve Wood confirmed that there had been a directive from Hewitt's camp restricting the use of the dual grand slam singles winner's brand late last month.
"His management has made it clear to us about the usage of his rights and his brand," Wood said.
"My understanding is standard rules apply to marketing of any brand and there are restrictions on it.
"In the public forum as in regards to promoting a tournament, then that's fine, but other than that, there are guidelines."
It is understood TA has informed all state bodies of the Hewitt initiative. Hewitt's manager Rob Aivatoglou was unavailable for comment yesterday.
Wood downplayed any link between the spat with McNamee and TA president Geoff Pollard.
However, the decision to implement restrictions is seen as another step in the tennis stand-off.
Hewitt opted not to play Davis Cup, citing an ankle injury he sustained during a second round loss to Juan Ignacio Chela in the Australian Open.

Lleyton, Lleyton, Lleyton, you have bigger things to worry about than your silly squabbles with the Australian tennis establishment right now. You have the issue that you have been one of the most consistently very high level performers the last 2 years, despite not winning a slam, especialy in the slams, yet you start the year with 3 straight uncharacteristic upset losses.
You have the issue of being very injury-prone last year and how to gaurd against that happening as best as possable. You have the dilemna how to mantain your intensity and extreme hunger, commitment, and desire to be on top while you are happily settling into a new marriage and family life. You also have a huge problem named Roger Federer, a new problem named Rafael Nadal, an ever present set of obstacles named Roddick, Nalbandian, and Safin; and a gremlin-like multiplying set of problems that goes on Berdych, Gasquet, Djokovic, Monfisl, that like I said seems to be evolving at the rate of Gremlin-births for the moment. So Lleyton you have more to worry about than your silly squables with Tennis Australia, let it be and maybe you have a hope of dealing with the bigger issues that are in your way at the moment.

    Hatin' Lleyton

Oh, he just wants Tennis Australia to mimic the USTA's Andy Roddick program, circa September 2003.
His early exit had nothing to do with his tennis, right? Or Chela playing wella.

Yeah, sort of. But federerhoogenbandfan spelled it way cooler. He went with "Monfisl".
Probably unintentional (and SO very ten minutes ago), but it was funny and I think he may have started something.

Francophones everywhere are yelling, "Non, hees name ees prronounced Monfils! It rhymes with Malisse....and Canadien Geese...and the movie Grease.....the goalie's crease....call zee Police.

Ahhh, the wisdom of Snoop Chiennie Chien.
