Hewitt's chance at the open

I bet with my friend 100 dollars that Hewitt will this tournament. Looks like hewitt is back to his top form, he is crusing. Do you think he has a good chance to win ? At least he doesnt have to play federer until the semi-final, I think hewitt has better chance with roddick than federer.

Are you on crack? Fed is 7-1 against Andy. Not a smart bet, my friend. Hewitt is looking much better, but I would put him after Fed and Roddick for winning the whole damn thing.

I definitely think Hewitt looks in top form and has a chance of contending for this year's title. He looked great this afternoon and has been playing well lately...in addition, he did a terrific job during the US Open series. However, it will be tough for Hewitt to win his bracket facing Roddick if it comes to that. Many seem to think Andy could have trouble with Nadal tonight though, so anything is possible. I still think Andy is the favorite here, perhaps even over Federer.

Hewitt is playing good tennis but he is only third or fourth favorite in my opinion. He hasn't proven he can beat Fed is Grand Slams this year even if he beats Roddick which is very doubtful in itself.

It's good that he is playing some short matches for the first 2 rounds. He certainly does look sharp though I seem to think it's not enough to draw his form yet. Despite having good results coming into USO, he hasn't really played anybody that's in the "top" range yet past few weeks.
