Hex as cross for poly-poly hybrids

#1
I've been lurking the GrappleSnake thread and their prepackaged hybrid has a 6 sided cross, rather than the typical round cross seen in Gravity, Blue Rock n Power and many member's custom hybrids (Proline 2, Polytour Fire, Redcode Wax). Is there something to this idea? Everyone seems to love this string.

Has anyone else tried pairing more aggressively shaped mains with a 6 sided cross?

Funny that you mention this setup. I too have been reading the GS thread and just decided to try my own custom hybrid with a 6 sided cross:

Tecnifibre Black Code 4S 17g/MSV Focus-Hex 17Lg

After I string and play with it, I'll post back the results.

@dr. godmode
Ive tried it a few times with a few different hex crosses
I find multi sided strings to be abit firmer than roundish strings, "in general!!",,
so the feel outweighed the little performance boost on spin shots I got from it
I abandoned that experiment and decided to focus more on tensions between mains and crosses and better snapback
