Is there a pro who uses to cope high ball on his bh wing with twohanded backhand AND backhand slice too? ( once two handed another time slice)
I dont see they do it.
Are there in lower levels more player, who do it?

Thank you for your answer

No idea. My (2H)BH has earlier been my stronger side, so slice BH has always been low percentage for me. I do use it, on low balls / against slice / if opponent appears to hate slices / drop shots. High balls to my 2HBH has never been a problem for me, but hitting a proper slice from a high bounce I could never do.

Santoro? He might have done that? Just a guess.

Early Connors.
Works fine because 2 hander is more solid and controllable.
But wide serves become more of a problem.

I am 49, i did not remember how Connors have played.
Now i have watched a video Connors-Borg 1976 US.OP.
His bh slices were two handed!( and a lot of fh slices, he did always hit so many fh slices?)
But really, he did hit high bh two handed slices and topspin drives too.

Connors hit sidespin slice forehands to widen the court, mostly dtl.
What was the different between us clay and french op clay?
Why could he not win in Paris?

I have seen an another Connos video against McEnroe US Op 80, it was amizing how fast they have played - with wooden rackets!

Wood rackets hit flatter, so si.ilar ballspeeds.
Metal rackets can hit faster than wood.
Small rackets swing faster than Weed 120's.

The high backhand

Here is written: ,,Most of my twohanded friend at Harbor Point agreed that when the ball was approaching schoulder level or higher they would slice it."
This are 5-5.5 players, if the incoming ball bounces to high only they could slice with bh.

He writes that for high twohanded backhand open the stance - i think it is not regards for on the rise twohanded bh(?).

If you find it interessant

If you play on clay (or on other high bouncing surface) how can you adjust your racket hight prep to steep high bouncing incoming balls?

I have thbh but i have difficoulties in this point, i prepare my racket, than the incoming ball suddenly bounces still higher...
(I find it easier to handle with slice this steep high bouncing incoming balls...)

(Of course i try to hit it on the rise with my thbh.
This is why the ball is still rising as i prepare my racket.)
