Wawrinka may have won 3 Slams, but many say they have never seen a level higher than when Rosol blew Nadal off the court at Wimbledon in that iconic match.

If Rosol played at that level every day he'd have 3 Slams too, so is his peak level higher? He is bludgeons the ball just as hard off both wings, has a 2HBH (so he must have more firepower on that wing), and definitely has the better serve when it's on. Is his peak higher than Wawrinka's?

Rookie mistake. 2HBHs have less max power compared to 1HBHs. It's that 1HBHs have exaggerated strengths and limitations (eg high balls, which can be corrected with grip, footwork sensitivity, etc).

Wawrinka by far. Nadal's game on grass had already declined severely by then making Rosol look better than he was. The next year Nadal got knocked out a round earlier, and hasn't made it to the QFs since.

I actually played a set against my dad, where every point I won was with winners. So I think I should be in the argument.

Who the fk cares about one match, players only care about the title.

An important point to consider when evaluating his peak level.

Federer was pretty weak in the 80's.

I see your point

What a worthless suggestion. Stakhovsky blew Federer off the court as well so he must be potentially better than Wawrinka as well

Some fools have too much of an imagination on this forum.

The only thing missing from this thread are edited vids of Rosol showing only aces and winners. Sometimes people come up with genuine brilliant ideas and concepts. This thread is not one of them.

You must be joking!
Stan is 'THE' big match player. Rosol goes a few rounds and then gone.
Stan is called 'Stan the man', Rosol often called something that rhymes with Rosol and begins with A!
Rosol does have a big game for periods but can't sustain it.
He messed with Nadal's mind to win at Wimby. I enjoyed watching it.
He has many many tricks like tapping his racquet loudly on the ground just before the opponents serve toss to body checking at end changes... Nice kinda sport!
Stan deals with Nadal and Djoker MTO's and gamesmanship and wins big.
No comparison.
I'm just watching Stan seeming kick the Rosol butt again.
5-3 up and serving incredibly well.

Wawrinka's peak level is clearly ridiculous but i will never forget THAT 5th set from Rosol...

I have to give it to Rosol.
