Roddick won the USO and reached number one in the world.. not a contest. Nothing Medvedev has done comes close to touching Andy’s wins over Sampras, Fed, and Agassi (IIRC, could be a different year). And that was back when men played 5 set matches. Any remotely comparable 5 set win is much more impressive to me than a 3 setter, the mental and physical endurance to win a 5 set match is something special and yet to be seen among the nextgen.
