2011 - there was absolutely nothing wrong with (prime) Nadal and he got smoked.
In 2013 Djokovic played like crap + he had a 4h SF against Wawrinka in the SF while Nadal played some Berrrettini type of mug like he always does.

Aggregate level of both finalists with some other factors if you want.
2013 was far higher as more was riding on it at the time and had more A List celebrities present. It was proper mano e mano that got everyone interested. Under that pressure cooker the quality was better. Another Breadstick interestingly in that match

Scenes when you realise the 2005 final may just be better than any USO final in the 2010s :-D
2010 early peak Djoker > mummyAgassi
2015 peak fedr > mummyAgassi
2019 Med > mummyAgassi

But no seriously, all USO finals in the last many years were disappointing.
2002, 2005, 2010, 2015 the ones somewhat competitive for more than 2 sets, but still being routine in the end (other than the set each runner-up got and 3rd set from 2015).

2009 and 2019 the 5 setters that could have ended in 3 or 4 sets, chokey tendencies making for a fun contest (rip Federer's streak at USO).

and let's skip 2012 :X3:

Plus Nadal was not full fit in 2011 had a slight ankle issue if i recall. 2013 was as good as it gets. Felt huge at the time. Still does
Djokovic was Injured in 2011 USO as well. Retired in the Cincinnati final against Murray week before, retired in the Davis Cup against Delpo the week after, barely survived physically in the earlier rounds against Dolgopolov and Tipsarevic. Bunch of MTOs taken that tournament. It was a real physical struggle for Djokovic in that tournament. ;)

2011. The loser in 2011 was solid, the loser in 2013 was a pathetic excuse for a USO finalist
Yeah. If Nadal loses 6-2 6-1 then he is a beast. If Djokovic loses 6-2 6-1 then he is pathetic.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

And in general, according to this forum, Djokovic was absolutely terrible in all 27 matches which he lost to Nadal.

Nadal has been ***** by Djokovic on HC many times. That's normal. Plus, the 3rd set of that final is one of the best you will ever see.

Djokovic has to play below his best for Nadal to beat him on HC. He has a better serve and return. Same goes for clay just the other way around.

Nadal leads Djokovic 2-1 in USO head to head. He got broken just 5 times during the whole USO 2010 tournament, and just 4 times during the whole USO 2013 tournament. You have to be trolling hard to say him getting broken 11 times in a single match is "normal".

Probably was on aggregate level. PETE BOAT after all.

I mean, 1995 Agassi was surely a whole lot better than 2005 Agassi, and yet he didn't give Sampras all that much harder a time than he gave Federer.

Unless, of course, Agassi also peaked at 35, much like Federer would later do.

Does 2013 Nadal beat 2011 Djokovic there? What's your take?

2011 Nadal wasn't solid LOL. Couldn't serve to save his life and was breadsticked by an injured Djokovic in the 4th.
I'll take him over 2013 Djokovic any day of the week and as Stephen A. Smith would say, twice on Sunday. 2013 Djokovic was horrible. Look it up in the dictionary, the definition for horrible is 2013 Djokovic.

It's more normal than Nadal trashing Djokovic on a HC

Both were horrible.

Their only decent final was 2010.

Well 1995 Agassi underperformed relative to his general level that year versus 2005 overperforming. Using poly probably helps 2005 in the comparison because he was hitting a bigger ball on average there imo, but he moved a lot better in 1995 obviously. Would say 1995 was clearly better but not by a huge amount. Got no problem with putting 1995 Sampras a smidge over 2005 Fed either.

Sure. Nadal won 3 titles in 2011, one of which is a 500 tournament, but he had a great year. Djokovic in 2013 won 7 titles, including a slam, 3 masters and WTF, yet he was horrible. So tired of Djokovic fanboys who believe 2015 is the norm.

There is absolutely no way 2011 Nadal beats 2013 Djokovic in USO, especially with that horrible serve.
