Who is the player that played the highest level of tennis and in what match? Djokovic vs Nadal Doha 2016? What do you think?
Won just 2 slams though.McEnroe throughout all of 1984. He was 82-3 in 1984. His winning percentage was 96.5% and he won 13 titles.
Good listDon't know about all-time, but here are some of Federer's imo:
Hamburg 2002 final, Wimby 2003 semis, Masters Cup 2003 final, USO 2004 final, AO 2005 R2, USO 2005 final, nearly every match from Masters Cup 2006, AO 2007 semis, last two sets of Hamburg 2007 final, Masters Cup 2007 final, RG 2009 final, RG 2011 semis, Cincinnati 2012 final, Shanghai 2014 semis, Wimbledon 2015 semis, Cincinnati 2015 semis + final, AO 2017 3R, Indian Wells 2017 4R. Long list, but those are his peakiest performances imo.
Skipped AO as lots of players tended to those days and nearly won RG.Won just 2 slams though.

You can technically still have peak performances even if you're outside your overall prime period. The main difference is that you can't peak as often and you're a bit less consistent.
Probably Federer at Wimbledon 2008 is an extremely high level.Probably Nadal at Wimbledon 07 is an extremely high level.
In my view, Nadal in the RG 2008 final is the highest level ever, as no player has produced a higher level than Nadal at RG. He was unbeatable.Who is the player that played the highest level of tennis and in what match? Djokovic vs Nadal Doha 2016? What do you think?
why is FEDERER was so good at wimbledon 2008 . But so BAD at RG ???Probably Federer at Wimbledon 2008 is an extrmely high level.
To be fair with an excellent clay courter like Federer, ANY player in the history of tennis would have looked bad against Nadal in the RG 2008 final.why is FEDERER was so good at wimbledon 2008 . But so BAD at RG ???

For me it would have to be someone playing in a match where an opponent is also playing incredibly well. Of course you have to ask where do you draw the line when someone dominates someone else, is the beat down primarily because of how good they are, or how bad their opponent is? In a match that is super competitive you conversely ask are they both playing super well, or is it close because neither is playing as well as they might? I tend to tip the way of the latter.
By any margin taking that Djokovic-Nadal match when it comes right at the absolute nadir of Nadal's entire career a couple of weeks before he loses to Verdasco in the first round in Australia seems something of a stretch to me. Now Novak in their Wimbledon 18 match might well be right up there. I think Sampras in that god tier match with Becker at the 96 Masters is another that comes to mind. Throw Borg in the 1980 Wimbledon final in there also.
Shout-out to PETE swatting double defending champ Courier away 6-3 6-4 6-4 in 1993 AO SF, three breaks to none.
Agreed 100%Talking of PETE, his win over Agassi in the classic four tiebreak match at the 2001 USO has to be up there in this category.

But that was before your first ever match? The Wimbledon final in 2008In my view, Nadal in the RG 2008 final is the highest level ever, as no player has produced a higher level than Nadal at RG. He was unbeatable.
In my view you know F all about tennis. I think you should move over to InstagramIn my view, Nadal in the RG 2008 final is the highest level ever, as no player has produced a higher level than Nadal at RG. He was unbeatable.
Good pointDjokovic in early 2016 reached highest ELO in history and raised it even more. At the time everyone was saying he has no weaknesses.
Djokovic vs Nadal Doha 2016 and Djokovic vs Federer AO 2016 are good examples of this frightening level.
No. You're not the only one.Am I the only one who thinks that Nadal had better shots overall in the 2012 Rg final? In 2008 he was more defensive.
Who would have thought back in 2008 that it would take the pirate 12 years to catch Federer in GS titles? In my view, Nadal in the RG 2008 final is the highest level ever, as no player has produced a higher level than Nadal at RG. He was unbeatable.
Weak eraMcEnroe throughout all of 1984. He was 82-3 in 1984. His winning percentage was 96.5% and he won 13 titles.

Who would have thought back in 2008 that it would take the pirate 12 years to catch Federer in GS titles?
Well, back then the AO wasn't as glorified as it is today. So usually, the top players only played the other 3 slams.Won just 2 slams though.
