When was the NVZ / kitchen line moved 6" further back from the net? Originally, 6.5 ft from the net. Now 7 ft. When did that happen? Decades ago or more recently?

Anyone know exactly when the NVZ (kitchen) line was moved? Yes, it was moved -- sometime in the past. In 1965, p'ball was born -- played on badminton court with a lowered net. The outer court dimensions have remained the same but some of the other badminton lines went away or were altered. Badm...

Given that indoor pickleball is typically played on badminton courts (with a lower net), is it officially played (competitively) with a smaller kitchen than the outdoor game?
