Hitting against wall?

Well hitting against a wall, I mainly look for consistency / keep the ball in play. I also try to improve my 2 hbh. Recently I've been hitting at the wall for 50 - 60 minutes. Definately not as fun as going on court and hitting with a friend but I was more tired hitting with the wall and felt like I actually improved my backhand slightly.
What is the longest you stayed hitting at the wall at one time maybe with some 3-5 minutes water break? Also any specific drills you do/ or can be done when hitting with wall?

Thanks

2.5 Hours. I did that a few times after I recovered from my little sleeping disorder episode I had for a bit.
At that time I basically could not hit, for one I was still weak. I picked a spot on the wall until I could hit
within so many inches of it, as I got better I would go for a smaller and smaller area.

Ideally with a wall, you want to go for consistency and watching the ball hit your string bed. It's hard to practice form because the wall kills the impact of the ball. You don't want to swing all out either just so the ball gets back to you. Just relax, watch the ball and like the above poster said: Pick a spot and hit it as often as you can.

the longest i've hit at a wall is about 2hrs i'd say. usually 1-1.5. yeah, what the other guys said, focus on consistency, don't try an' hit too hard or you'll probably find yourself hitting long when you play on the court.

Wish I could find a place to play against a wall. The local tennis court I go to doesnt have anything of the sort, and I live in the country so we dont have many options. I am sure that the people at Wal-Mart wouldnt be too happy if I went behind their store and started smacking balls against the wall. That, and I would probably look like a moron.

Use adhesive tape of some sort to make little squares or triangles on the wall and go for consistency.

I usually hit against a wall at an elementary school. It has lots of smooth walls across the building, including in a covered area. So I can even hit in the rain. At most I hit for an hour.

Same.. I use the covered area normally. The wall's aren't exactly smooth, they're brick with the little mortar channel things, but they're close enough. I've gone for 3 hours before, when I was first working my 1hbh.
