Hitting such good ohbh with Aeropro drive GT

I have been using my Aeropro Drive GT lately (as opposed to my Vcore 95) and wow - does it work so well with my ohbh. I like the stiff feeling. I feel more connected. Anyone else feeling this? I am trying to nail if it is the stiffness, graphite material, beam thickness, 16 x 19 pattern, 100sq inch head that works for me or perhaps a combination. I also do have 1.30mm crosses as opposed to 1.20mm in my Vcore. My APD is also a 4 3/8 grip and my Vcore is 4 1/4 with two overgrips. I feel that my Vcore is more headlight too.

offcourse your vcore is more headlight with two overgrips. maybe your grip is more rounded because of that too and more dampened.

I suppose if a racquet is too headlight, it could make the 1hbh worse right?
IMO HL isn’t the issue as much as having a SW too low which will makes it feel unstable when defending and harder to time when attacking bc you need more RHS

My Vcore 95 has 2g at 12, 1.5g at 10 and 2 each and 3.5g at 3 and at 9 currently.

My current rackets are RF97, '18 VCORE 95 and '13 Aeropro Drive (doubles)

Lots of weight added on the VCORE, plays like a softer and quicker RF97.. some weight added on the APD.. 6 g in hoop plus 6 g overgrip.

All hit a OHBH very well... strings are a big factor.

Can I ask what strings you use? I feel that my switch to 1.20mm strings on the cross might have led to tension loss faster and increase in launch angle which could be a factor in throwing me off my bh.

I use 1.30 for longevity,, I have used 1.25 fullbed on the APD and very slight increase in power and spin but less durable.

My weighted VCOREs, 1 has Yonex poly tour pro fullbed 1.30 yellow at #53.. The other I tried vs gut main #55 and alu power rough cross at #53..

Both have good power, the hybrid setup has more control and spin.

But adding a little weight to the APD improved it, hits a heavier, deeper ball.

Thanks. I def think the 1.30mm will help! I am going to try BHST 1.25mm on the mains in my Vcore 95 and Signum Hextreme 1.30mm in the crosses (that is what I have in my APD right now). I forgot to mention that my APD has 2g at 12 and 2g each at 3 and 9.

I'd go with thicker main and thinner cross for better playability.
