2 djok record that does not receive much attention
  1. 37 GS Finals
  2. 13 GS RU trophies
1st most by any player male / female
2nd most by any male player not idea about female

I still have hope for Holger, he is too good to write him off.
I watched the match today. An embarrassing loss to #160 in the world. He doesn’t have any confidence and he doesn’t have a gameplan. No coach will be able to give him what he needs. His new coach looked lost today and Holger only gave him anger and frustration.

I also think the best he can do is to take some time off - both from tennis and his mother.

Why should he take a break ? What will he achieve? He should just accept being a journeyman and so should his fan.its not his fault if his deluded fans have high hopes from him.

He tried the Djoker trick today of wearing a white wrist band on his dominant wrist, and a dark one on his left. But he didn’t do it right.

An another amazing thread I have read in the last 1 minute.

The first one was astonishingly Sinner has played out of his mind over the last 8 months and what a shock it is that he is doing so ignoring his performance drug taking.
Then this.... astonishingly Rune has found he needed a new coach to turn him from a mental midget/poor tennis player to a genius/#1 ATP player.

I am not sure I can find better information anyplace else!

Top 10 player is still a very good player. I don’t think enough of you actually realize how hard it is to be a perennial top 10 player.
agreed here, lots of these conversations make me laugh. Being top 10 is not only insanely difficult to achieve, but to stay there year after year. you still have to defend points tourney after tourney. weak era strong era whatever.

But what are the specific technical flaws in each of those shots?

Forehand take back has a hitch (the unit turn is 2 pieces). Somewhat related, if his opponent plays straight up the middle to him he doesn't create adequate space. (He actually hits the FH pretty well on the run).

His serve...it's not how I would teach it, but I don't really see anything wrong technically. The year he won Bercy he was serving bombs.

He floats his slice backhand. No surprise, his (what, twice, three times?) former coach is teaching him 80's era technique here. As usual, PM has no idea what he's talking about. All modern players with a good slice finish across their body. (Tsitsipas also has a terrible slice BH, some coincidence that he's also a PM disciple).

Rune has solid technique on the 2HBH, IMO.

All of that said, IMO it cannot be understated that the vast majority of what is hurting him is between the ears, not how he hits the ball.

The second one is a unwanted record. Lendl can finally be relieved after that record of 11 slam final loss is broken
Fed was close with 10 final losses as I calculated
