The Danish tennis star will continue working with Lars Christensen next year according to Danish online media, Ekstra Bladet.
Holger Rune has finalized his coaching setup for 2025.
The 21-year-old tennis player has re-hired his former coach, Lars Christensen, who will work alongside his current coach, Kenneth Carlsen.
This was confirmed by Rune's team to Ekstra Bladet.
"I can confirm that the collaboration with Lars will continue in 2025. Holger’s team will consist of Lars Christensen, Kenneth Carlsen, Lapo Becherini (fitness coach), and Louis Fresneau (physiotherapist)," said Aneke Rune, Holger’s mother and manager.
"There was significant progress in Holger’s game toward the end of this season, so it’s only natural for the same team to carry things forward from here," she added.
Lars Christensen has spent the past year coaching tennis player Clara Tauson but has been filling in as Holger Rune’s coach since October, including at the ATP 500 tournaments in Basel and the Paris Masters.
Ekstra Bladet reported last November that Lars Christensen had stepped down as Holger Rune's coach after 14 years of working together.
According to Aneke Rune, Holger is pleased that the collaboration will officially continue.
"Holger is full of optimism and looking forward to starting the new season," Aneke Rune stated.
