Holiday Tournaments

A number of current and former college players in tournament play over the holiday break.

Here's one in Memphis going on now. A doubles main draw WC is at stake for the Memphis Open in Feb.

Hunter and Yates Johnson won 4 state titles in doubles, 3 in texas. theyre a tad older than me, 5 years i think. but i trained in the same academy

i wouldnt be surprised if they won, theyre twins and amazing at doubels and singles too, both are thru the first 3 rounds

I would be surprised if they won. They had a narrow escape against to older players in the first round. In the semi's they will have to beat the top seed O'Hare/Salisbury who have a Challenger and multiple futures titles this year. If they win that they will have to beat Nathan Pasha and his partner the #2 seed. If the Johnson's win tonight which is doubtful, I still only give them a 50/50 to win it.

I hadnt seen an itf record for the top seeds, i had only seen some opens and challenger qualies. But will be interesting. As twins though, they have a doubles sense that is quite special compared to most duos
