I know a holy grail doesn't exist, and I believe a racket only helps your game to a certain extent, however, I have a racket now that is closest to perfect for my game.
Recently I found two prostaff tour 90’s for a very reasonable price. I bought them because I missed the old crisp PS feel in the newer versions (n90 and k90), and, despite others on this forum, I think the tour90 swings a tad easier. Or I just like the more headlight weight distribution better.
But one of the frames is 5-7 grams lighter than the other. Because the PS tour 90 is quit bulky (I do agree with that) the lighter one is just perfect. It plays just as nice as a PS 85 with a little lead in the old days, but with a tad more power and bigger sweet spot. And crisp with tons of feel. The n90 and k90 do not even come close to this single racket (too 'muted', and a too high SW).
Thanks to Wilson’s bad quality control I have my ‘holy grail’. Unless Wilson releases a new ‘Sampras PS 90’, as some of you state (is this news true?), I will not try any other new frames for a long time I guess..
