How are striked matches recorded after dynamic disqualification?

If a self rated player receives three strikes and gets bumped to the next level, how are their striked matches recorded? Does it count as a default, or a loss for them and their partner(s) that they played with in the striked matches? Is a dynamic rating based on the actual score still calculated for that match, even if they reverse the match and make it 6-0, 6-0 in favor of the opponents?

What happens with the DQ'd player's prior matches depends on the section and what option they elect to use.

From the regulations:

2.04E(1) Local. In the event of an NTRP Dynamic Disqualification from a particular level of play,
the Section shall determine and publish in its regulations what matches, if any, shall be
considered losses. The disqualified matches shall be considered 6-0, 6-0 wins for the opposing
player or doubles team.

Some sections will DQ and reverse all matches played in any in-progress leagues. Others reverse nothing and just promote the player to the next level. Then there are variations in between those two extremes that sections will elect to use.

As far as I know, dynamic ratings still use the as recorded scores and the note about 6-0,6-0 wins is only for standings purposes.

That’s what I assumed. It would be counter productive to use the 6-0, 6-0 in calculating dynamic ratings, as that would only hurt the partner and artificially inflate the ratings of the opposing pair. I have a player on my team who I anticipate will be DQ’d by the end of the season so I guess I will see how it plays out in my section. Thanks for the reply.

In Middle States, only the match where the disqualifying strike occurred is overturned. It used to be all three strikes, but when they changes to PPP standings instead of dual match record, they reduced it to just the last one.

Interesting, I hadn’t heard of PPP before so I had to look it up. We don’t have that in Missouri Valley but I wish we did.
