How did this happen?

Ok, folks, based upon the pics, what is your opinion. Bad string job, bad luck, racquet smashed on ground or fence pole? Other... This was used 3 or 4 times since racquet was strung on May 28.

haha, i've done this as an adult, maybe, once or twice... He did it 3 years ago and acted like it broke in his bag as well. He came clean when a witness came forward. Time to buy him the crappiest racquet ever, smash away, :)

its my sons and he's conveniently acted like it just did this in his bag...
Ok, I'll try to help the kid out. Any chance he accidentally crushed the bag (and thus the racket) with the trunk lid or by sliding a car seat back into the bag? That's the best I can come up with. I've been stringing rackets for 45 years and that damage was definitely not caused by a "bad" string job. Also, probably not caused by impact with the court. In my opinion that would cause damage to a larger area. It looks like impact with the net post or fence post - if it wasn't accidentally crushed. ;)

yep, i thought about the car thing, I think that's going to be his only defense, :) I once had a friend drive off for our match, when he backed out of his driveway he realized that he forgot to put his racquet bag in the car. He backed over it, wow, wouldn't that be a surprise..

It looks like he let go if the racket on a serve. I did that as a kid, it messed me up because it happened to my favorite racket.
