How do I heal this wrist problem?

I was playing for 2hours and then I felt my wrist being pulled or something like that. Tried to continue playing but every short hurt enough to quit.
I have iced my wrist for about 5 min afterwards.
Thing is I have a tournament match in 24-48hours.
What treatment do you recommend? I was thinking resting it and on the match day wrap it up and hope for the best.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Don't stop icing the injured area. Wrap it up on match day, but for now, keep icing and that doesn't mean 5 minutes and stop. Ice it all the way up until about an hour before match time. At that time, you need to keep it warm so just wrap it up.

I say see how it feels on match day... but don't hit a ball if possible...

It's very likely you could just make it worse by hitting another ball.

I remember i had to take a good few weeks off when i injured my wrist.... was a pain writing with as well.

Don't mess with any of that menthol stuff which includes sprays and gels. Ben Gay, Icy Hot, etc. are all good for a warmup, but I don't recommend them for recovery. Those players are still trying to play when they get sprayed, but you're trying to recover. Big difference there.

You can use menthol gel before you play because it'll help you loosen up, but don't use it as a healing method. Ice is for healing (post match) and menthol gels are for before the match.

ok so is this a good plan?
i keep icing it till 1 hr before match time
and then 5 min before i start playing i put the gel.
after match i ice again

should i tape it with ace bandage (the brown one) or athletic tape (the white one) ?

i've also heard that putting gel and then wrapping is a bad idea..true?

i thought the stuff they sprayed on ankles was sticky stuff to keep the wrap from sliding around?

It sounds like you're thinking of pre-wrap (I've never seen any other color but green) and the liquid a trainer will spray your skin with before he wraps you with athletic tape. The spray is so the pre-wrap doesn't stick to the hair on your skin (it never works very well) and the pre-wrap is so the athletic tape, which is fairly sticky, doesn't stick to your skin but adheres nonetheless. Also, sweaty skin tends to be aversive to athletic tape and a few layers never lasts very long without the pre-wrap.
