I checked my new calibrator when I first got it over ten years ago and it was off by 7 pounds with 55-65 pounds of weight. I adjusted it and it's been money ever since. So I highly recommend you start there.

what dancraig said. the eagnas doesn't come with the 2.5 mm hex wrench so what i did was add layers of scotch tape until it was big enough.

when you face the crank you must unscrew that hole first. it's the 2.0 mm. it keeps the other screw from being turned. once you remove that, you can use the 2.5 mm on the left side of the metal box looking thing and turning it should provide you with the results you want.

Not to be too anal about this(what good stringer isn't!), but the weights that are used to check the calibrator should be certified. A couple of 25lb. bar bell weights are o.k. , but you should take them to the post office or a scale company and have them weighed. They are not guaranteed to weigh what they are marked as.

lol....anal.....took mine to the post office way back when Gaines....lol

Does that mean I'm a good stringer? Not necessarily, but I do agree that good stringers an an anal lot. At least on the important points.....lol
