I like the feel of my Babolat Custom Damp, but its beginning to become too "soft" for me. I need a firmer dampener. How does the Wilson Smiley dampener compare to the Babolat? Is it firmer in any way?

Im struggling to find the smiley faces in the UK

Anyone have any ideas?

Im stuck with my rubber band for now, which, in all fairness, is not bad

Smiley faces are about the same as a Wilson "W" and a tad more firm than Babolat Custom O's.

rubber bands will stay on the strings no matter how much your strings move. they take away the ring sound, but dampen the feel that much. :)

I honestly feel that the "frown" dampener really dampens my spirits. The "smiley" one lifts my game.

I've used various dampeners from the Babolat Custom to the Sampras "o" and my favorite is the Wilson ying/yang that I have now. Has never fell out in the time I've used it and it feels right.

Where did you get the ying/yang dampener? I don't want to buy the whole Wilson bucket just to get one dampener...

Ogruskie...I got my ying/yang dampeners from a local shop. They keep the Wilson bucket on their counter and sell the dampeners individually. I just went in and picked out 4 of the ying/yang ones.

One thing I worry about (this is going to sound ridiculous), is looking...er..."pathetic" with a smile face on my racquet. I want to intimidate my opponents, not make them think I'm a chump. But whatever, right?

Personally I'd much rather have an opponent overconfident than playing intimidated with nothing to lose.

They should make an angry face dampener! Something like this!
