Basically what I'm referring to is that we are almost at the end of the decade and there are pros and the general public still choosing to play with the classics and pro stocks like the PT57 A and the like. Many see these frames as better than current retail offerings.
At some stage the people who like the classics will get older and probably will need to change to something more easier to use and the younger generation ( 16 to 28 years ) will be the majority ( If they aren't now).
If we think back the change from wood and aluminium standard heads to graphite mid sized and mp's was a revolution for pros and the public and so was the move to wide bodies and move away from oversize (107 to 110) but since then it's been more evolutionary. Personally I would say that many of the new frames are better able to absorb the shock of poly strings than a few years ago. The poly strings have probably been a bigger innovation for many players despite how harsh some can be. A flexible frame today has a more smoother level of vibration than in the past. For a while I thought it was going to be the era of electronic sensors but it seems to have lost some interest lately.
This coming week we have the much anticipated release of the Wilson Clash and many are saying that the racquet has managed to combine power, comfort and stability in a comfortable, light and low RA package. Is this the new revolution we are expecting for the 2020's or what else can they come up with.
