How far will Jannik Sinner hard court set streak go?

Schoolkate is not even known name to me. Strange things keep happening in tennis. In 2015, Wawrinka took a set from Djokovic in Bercy before eating bagel himself.

The 31 is damn unbreakable for some reason.

That's funny if Sinner wins 32 in a row and then keeps losing to Alcaraz on hardcourt :D
The more Sinner wins on hardcourt, the greater Alcaraz looks (for beating Sinner every time)!

@nolefam_2024 you made this moment bittersweet.
If I hadn't opened this thread I wouldn't have even noticed that Sinner was one step away from overtaking Federer, with the ambition of being able to make the absolute record his own, ergo, I wouldn't have cared at all about losing a set on the road, so instead it leaves a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth.

Genuinely can’t believe he blew it to of all people a guy outside the top 100. Probably would have been the last person I’d have predicted the streak to end at out of all of his matches that made up the 29 sets

I was pulling for Sinner to get to 32 straight sets to set the hard court record. And if carpet comes back, then I'd root for a guy to break Mac's 66-match winning streak on that surface.

It's exciting to see records broken. Now to be fair, I wasn't one bit excited when Fed's 20-slam record was broken. But that's really old news now. It's time to move on and pull for the new guys.

Next up: let's see Alcaraz set the record for winning the career slam at the youngest age. I'm pulling for him to do. After that, I'll pull for Sinner to bag the career slam quickly(2nd youngest is doubtful, but that would be cool too).

It happened with us nolefams in 2015 as well. Wawrinka had not taken a set from Nole in BO3 I think till that point since 2008.

As aforementioned, it shows how difficult it is to maintain consecutive straight set wins in slam tournaments. Only takes a moment or two to let one slip in a Bo5, and to go a whole tournament without one or two of those is a phenomenal achievement, probably one that should be raised in discussions even more often.
