how fast should I ride stationary bike / treadmill?

I am trying to do some cardio on a stationary bike to shed a few pounds. However, I can't figure out the reasonable rpm to go on.
When I do interval training, I would alternate between 120 rpm and 70~80rpm for 40 seconds each.

If I want to steadily ride bike for ~40min, at what rpm should I be pedalling?
I know it depends on the indivisual, but can someone tell me a reasonable rpm ?

How about on a treadmill? I normally run at 11.7 km for 30 min and it's a good 6 km worth.. Is it ok?

The speed you should be at really depends on your current level of fitness and what you wish to accomplish;but I would say just make sure you're a bit sweaty and sore when you're finished and you probably had a decent workout.

If you are trying to burn some fat with a 40 minute workout, going for LISS would be your best bet. Keep your heart rate at around 75% of your max heat rate, 220 - your age. How strong your heart is depends on yourself, so no one can tell you how fast you would have to ride to get your heartrate to 75% of your max.
